Located on Sri Lanka's south coast near Tangalle, Amanwella is set amongst coconut trees beside a crescent of golden sand. Inspired by Geoffrey Bawa's architecture, the property combines modernist lines and indigenous materials. Guest suites feature private plunge pools and large terraces overlooking the Indian Ocean. Dining options include locally-caught seafood and Sri Lankan curries at The Restaurant and Beach Club. Massages and body treatments using natural products are available. Amanwella offers access to local attractions such as tea plantations and temples. Transfers are available from Colombo's Bandaranaike International Airport (3 hours by car or 50 minutes by air taxi to Dickwella, followed by a 20-minute car drive) and Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (75 minutes by car).
